Lets review. We've got WoW as the cake. The cake is divided in two halves (the factions, horde and alliance). Both halves have multiple slices that can be Guilds, PvP groups etc.

I started thinking about it, trying to figure out if I already am apart of some community. And it so happends, I am apart of a few communities atleast. Both are online games.

So, you might wonder why I think the players in an online game can be called a community. Well, basicly you've got tens of thousands of people playing the game from all over europe. That doesn't count for a community yet. In game, there are numerous of phrases and acronyms that are only understood by other players of the same game. This is one good mark of a community.

The people in the game form Guilds to adventure together. These guilds normally have an online forum they chat around and stuff when not playing. So the players can interact with one another outside the game too. Most of the players actually wind up meeting outside the game aswell, in the Real World!

Anyways, the game itself is called World of Warcraft. Its pretty popular at the moment. I'm not a 100% sure but, I think there are around 3million players worldwide!! Someone correct me if you have some better info ;)

I mentioned guilds in my previous post. I too am a part of a guild, its called Spark. Its mostly a mature guild with a k18 restriction in it.

Recently Spark started using a software called TeamSpeak. Its a cute little program that allowes multiple people to talk to each other with mics. So its pretty interesting to actually hear the people you've come to know throughout the past months I've played. So this is another step towards being a web community, in my oppinion. Sure, it was a community before but this just makes it more ;) bad argument there but, I'm tired so... You can't have a better one! HAH!
